The mocha porridge (or mocaccino) overnight is a preparation based on milk (or plant-based drink) and coffee without cooking, a sort of creamy pudding, almost a mousse thanks to the presence of chia seeds and whipped milk. The oats do not need to be cooked but are simply left to rest for a few hours or overnight, and in the morning, the mocha overnight porridge will be ready to enjoy for breakfast. I know many people don’t like porridge, and it took me a while to learn to appreciate it, but then it became one of my favorite breakfasts. One should not limit oneself to oats cooked in milk, but it should be made delicious! And this mocha overnight porridge is very delicious. I think it’s worth trying and giving it a chance.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup small oats
- 5.3 oz plain Greek yogurt (I use lactose-free)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 espresso coffee
- 1/3 cup oat drink
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Tools
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Spoon for mixing
- 1 Cup with lid
Steps
In a bowl, pour the oats and chia seeds. Add the cooled espresso, Greek yogurt, and cocoa. Mix well. Whip the oat plant-based drink and add it gradually to the mixture. Pour the porridge into a cup or container with a lid and place in the refrigerator for a few hours. I prefer to prepare it the night before to enjoy it for breakfast. If desired, you can add chopped hazelnuts and banana slices just before enjoying it for breakfast.
Notes
I included honey among the ingredients as a sweetener, but you can use whatever you like to sweeten your porridge. For example, I never add anything. I prefer it natural.
