  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Cost: Medium
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 2 people
  • Cooking methods: Stovetop
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 6.35 oz short pasta
  • 2 tablespoons pistachio pesto (heaping)
  • 1.75 oz smoked roasted ham
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Tools

  • 1 Shallow Casserole
  • 1 Pasta Pot

Steps

I did not add salt (except in the pasta cooking water) because the ingredients used were flavorful for me. But taste and adjust accordingly based on your preferences.

  • Boil the pasta in plenty of salted water. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Cut the smoked roasted ham into strips. Then let it flavor for a minute in a shallow casserole with the tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. Add the pistachio pesto. If necessary, dilute with a couple of tablespoons of pasta cooking water. When the pasta is ready, drain it al dente and transfer it to the casserole with the sauce. Mix well and serve immediately.
