Ingredients
- 1 roll rectangular puff pastry
- 1 tablespoon hazelnut spread (generous)
- to taste chocolate chips
- to taste sugar pearls
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Tools
- 1 Cutting Board
- 1 Knife
- 1 Reusable Parchment Paper Sheet
- 1 Kitchen Brush
Steps
Unroll the puff pastry and prick it with a fork. Spread the hazelnut spread over half of the pastry. I used a generous tablespoon. Add the chocolate chips. You can choose your preferred chocolate or what you have at home: even kids’ chocolate eggs, gianduiotti, or coarsely chopped chocolate bars work well. Fold the remaining free pastry over the chocolate and seal the edges well by pressing them with the tines of a fork. Divide the rectangle obtained into four parts and twist each piece onto itself. Place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or the appropriate reusable mats, brush the small bows with the beaten egg, sprinkle with sugar pearls, and bake in a preheated oven to 375°F for 15/20 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
