Ingredients
- 4 cups flour w 220
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 2 1/4 tsp fresh yeast (or 1 1/4 tsp dry)
- 2 tbsp soft butter
- 2 tsp salt
Tools
- 1 Mixer Kitchen Aid Artisan
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Lid reusable fabric
- 2 Baking Paper reusable mats
- 1 Cooling Rack
Steps
Mix the flour with the turmeric. In the mixer bowl, pour in the water and salt. Add the flour and crumbled fresh yeast. Start kneading. Once a smooth and homogeneous dough forms around the hook, add the butter, one small piece at a time, letting it absorb well before proceeding with the next. Work until you achieve a firm and elastic dough. Form a ball, transfer it to a bowl, cover it, and let it rest for 30 minutes. After the resting time, divide the dough into 16 portions of about 1.75 oz each and form round balls. Transfer them onto two baking sheets lined with parchment paper spaced apart, cover them with a towel and let them rise for an hour. Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the buns for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, let them cool on a rack, then serve.
