The turmeric bread sticks are soft, delicious rolls flavored and colored with this fragrant spice. Turmeric gives the bread a taste and flavor that pairs well with cured meats and cheeses, making for excellent stuffed homemade rolls. But if you prefer, these turmeric bread sticks can also be sliced and served in the bread basket to accompany appetizers.

Ingredients
- 4 cups flour w 220
- 2 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 0.28 oz fresh yeast (or 0.14 oz dry)
- 2 tbsp soft butter
- 2 tsp salt
Tools
- 1 Mixer Kitchen Aid Artisan
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Cover reusable fabric
- 1 Mat reusable parchment paper
- 1 Cooling Rack
Steps
Mix the flour with the turmeric. In the mixer bowl, pour the water and salt. Add the flour and the crumbled fresh yeast. Start kneading. Once a smooth, homogeneous dough has formed, wrap it around the hook and add the butter, a little at a time, allowing it to be well absorbed before proceeding with the next. Work until you get a firm and elastic dough. Form a ball, transfer it to a bowl, cover it, and let it rest for thirty minutes. After resting, divide the dough into 8 portions of 100 grams and form elongated sticks. Transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, keeping them well-spaced, cover with a cloth, and let them rise for an hour. Preheat the oven to 356°F and bake the rolls for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, let them cool on a rack, and then serve.
