Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 12 tablespoons sugar
- 9 tablespoons flour
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 12 tablespoons milk
- 12 tablespoons rice oil (or other vegetable oil of your choice)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 packet baking powder
Tools
- 1 Spoon
- 1 Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer
- 1 9.5-inch Pan
- 1 Cake tester
- 1 Cooling rack
Steps
In the mixer bowl, beat the eggs well with the sugar. Add the nine tablespoons of flour and three of unsweetened cocoa powder, the milk, and the vegetable oil. Mix well to get a smooth and homogeneous batter. Then add the vanilla extract and baking powder. Pour the mixture into a ring cake pan or if you prefer into a cake pan (remember to butter and flour the pan, but if you’re using one like mine I suggested among the tools, this step will not be necessary) and bake the cake in a preheated oven at 356 °F for 40 minutes. Always check the baking with a skewer test because every oven is different. Remove the cake from the oven, take it out of the pan, and let it cool on a rack. Then, before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
