Apple Muffins

Apple muffins are an alternative (in presentation but certainly not in taste!) to the more classic apple cake.

They are soft treats enriched with pieces of apple and scented with cinnamon, perfect for breakfast, for a snack, maybe accompanied by a cup of your favorite tea or, why not (?), as a sweet treat at the end of the meal.

They are very easy to make and, above all, they prepare in no time, making them particularly suitable to satisfy that sudden craving for something sweet.

Now take a minute to read the recipe and then… let’s cook AND eat!!

Ingredients for 10 muffins

  • 2 cups flour
  • 8 tbsps butter
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 2 apples (red)
  • to taste powdered sugar

Tools

  • 2 Bowls
  • 1 Hand Whisk
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Mold for muffins
  • Cupcake Liners for muffins
  • 1 Cooling Rack

Steps

  • To prepare the apple muffins, start by collecting the melted butter, milk, and eggs in a bowl and use a hand whisk to mix well.

Then add the dry ingredients to the liquid mixture: sugar, cinnamon, flour, and sifted baking powder.

Mix until you get a smooth and homogeneous mixture.

Proceed by chopping a peeled apple into cubes and incorporate it into the mixture.

At this point, take the mold, line the individual cavities with the appropriate cupcake liners, and distribute the dough with a spoon.

Finally, wash the second apple, remove the core, and cut it into 4 wedges, then slice them very thinly.

  • Arrange the apple slices on the surface of the muffins, partially embedding them in the batter.

Finally, bake your apple muffins in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Once removed from the oven, let them cool on a rack before dusting with powdered sugar and serving 😉.
