Sandwich Bread Christmas Trees with Salmon and Cream Cheese
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Christmas

Ingredients

  • 1 package sandwich bread (long slice)
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 5.3 oz smoked salmon
  • to taste mayonnaise
  • to taste pistachio crumbs

Tools

  • 1 Cutter Christmas tree shape
  • 1 Knife

Steps

The preparation of these sandwich bread Christmas trees with salmon and cream cheese is very simple and quick.

  • To avoid product waste, my advice is to first cut out the tree-shaped bases from each slice of sandwich bread using a suitable cutter, and then fill them individually.

Set aside the bread leftovers as they can be useful for other preparations.

  • Once you have the various sandwich bread trees, spread a bit of cream cheese on one half and place some smoked salmon, while on the other half of the trees spread a thin layer of mayonnaise.

  • Now, assemble the tree sandwiches by pairing them and closing the two slices of bread as a sandwich, ensuring the mayonnaise is in contact with the salmon.

At this point, spread a bit of cream cheese on the entire free surface of the trees to act as a glue for the pistachio crumbs.

  • Once all the trees are ready, transfer them to a tray and let them rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or until serving 😉.
