Apple and Jam Puff Pastries are an easy little treat to make, perfect for breakfast or a snack. They are ready in a few minutes and are delicious both warm and at room temperature. With one rectangular puff pastry sheet you can make 4; alternatively you can make 8 small ones though I don’t recommend it because the apple slices would be few and the pastries less flavorful. Now let’s see how to prepare the Apple and Jam Puff Pastries and if you try them let me know. Barbara

How to prepare the Apple and Jam Puff Pastries
Let’s start preparing the apple and jam puff pastries: peel the apple, remove the core and cut it into thin slices.
Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into 4 parts so you obtain 4 rectangles; on the left side of each rectangle make small slits.
On each rectangle, on the side without the slits, spread a thin layer of jam and arrange the apple slices, slightly overlapping them.
Moisten the edges with a little water, close the pastries and press the edges; fold the edges to seal them and run the tines of a fork along the edge to ensure a good seal.
Brush the surface with water and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F for 20–25 minutes; the surface should be golden.
When baked, take out the Apple and Jam Puff Pastries, let them cool and, if you like, dust them with powdered sugar. They can also be served warm.
How to store the Apple and Jam Puff Pastries
Store them at room temperature for 1 day; after that the puff pastry will no longer be crisp and flaky.
