Apple pancakes ideal for breakfast or snack, when you crave something delicious and tasty, great for Sunday brunch. You can cook apple pancakes in a pan, an air fryer, a crepe maker, or in the special pan with indentations to get round and uniform pancakes. I find using a non-stick pan with a diameter of 5.5 inches (14 cm) works very well, they come out perfect and no need to grease the bottom, if you prepare them in an air fryer you don’t need to flip them and you can use silicone molds like these. The cooking time may vary depending on the type of air fryer you use, this is the AIR FRYER I use. I recommend checking out 50 AIR FRYER RECIPES and all air fryer recipes, you’ll surely find other tasty dishes to try.

  • 1.4 oz butter
  • 1 cup milk

Tools

  • Air Fryer
  • Skillet 5.5 inches
  • Electric Beaters

How to Make Apple Pancakes

  • Start preparing the apple pancakes, melt the butter in the microwave or in a bain-marie or in a small pot being careful not to brown it. Separate the eggs and pour the egg whites into a bowl and beat them to stiff peaks with electric beaters, then set aside.

  • In another bowl, pour the egg, flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt, honey, melted butter and mix, gradually add the milk while always stirring with a fork to avoid lumps.

  • Peel the apple, cut it in half, remove the core and then cut it into small pieces, add to the mixture just prepared, mix well, add the beaten egg whites and fold them in carefully from top to bottom to avoid deflating them. You will obtain a very creamy mixture.

  • Using a ladle, pour the mixture into the silicone mold, place the molds in the air fryer basket and cook at 356°F (180°C) for 7 minutes. The number of pancakes you can cook depends on the size of your air fryer basket. Cooking time may vary depending on the type of air fryer you use.

  • Serve the Pancakes hot right away or at room temperature, you can add some maple syrup.

  • Place the skillet on the stove and let it warm up, using a ladle pour the mixture, without leveling it, it will spread on its own. When bubbles form on the surface, it is ready to be flipped and cooked on the other side. Continue like this until all the mixture is used up, you can cook more pancakes simultaneously if using a larger skillet.
