  • 1.1 lbs Borettane onions
  • 1.1 lbs potatoes
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

How to prepare Baked Potatoes and Onions

  • Start preparing baked potatoes and onions, peel the potatoes, wash them, and cut them into pieces.

  • Clean the Borettane onions from any ugly outer skin and any roots that may be at the bottom of the onion, then wash them under running water.

  • Preheat the static oven to 356°F, pour the extra virgin olive oil into the baking dish, add the Borettane onions and potatoes, mix and add salt and pepper.

  • When the oven is hot, bake and cook for 40 minutes, stirring halfway through to achieve even cooking and browning. Before taking them out of the oven, check the cooking by inserting the tines of a fork; if they go in easily, the potatoes are cooked.

  • When the potatoes and onions are cooked, take them out of the oven and serve them hot
