How to cook boiled beef
Let’s start preparing the boiled beef. First, clean the vegetables, remove the outer part from the carrots, perhaps using a peeler, and cut off the ends. Clean the celery stalks and cut them into pieces, peel the onion, and also peel the potato. Wash them well under running water.
Pour about 4 quarts of water into a very large pot, add the vegetables, a pinch of salt, and place it on the stove. When the water starts to boil, add the piece of meat and the bone.
Remove any impurities that may appear as foam and let it simmer on low for 3 hours.
Check the meat’s doneness by inserting the fork prongs. Once cooked, remove the meat from the pot, slice it, and serve it, perhaps accompanied by its vegetables. If you like, season it with salt and extra virgin olive oil or with sauces.
How to store boiled beef
Once cooked, boiled beef can be kept in the refrigerator for 2/3 days
