Chicken breast with cooked ham and provolone is a delicious and flavorful main course, easy and quick to make. My kids and husband love chicken breast slices made this way because the meat remains tender and tasty, and you won’t have the usual dry and tough chicken breast. I prepared the chicken breast with provolone and ham in the oven, alternatively, you can also make the chicken breast in a pan and finish cooking with a lid to allow the provolone to melt well and become creamy. I also recommend checking out my other chicken recipes which will be useful for your lunches or dinners. How to prepare Chicken breast with cooked ham and provolone
Let’s start preparing the Chicken breast with cooked ham and provolone by lining a baking dish with parchment paper and pouring extra virgin olive oil into it,
place the chicken slices
and add a drop of oil on each slice,
arrange the sage and rosemary in the dish,
and drizzle with white wine.
Preheat the static oven to 356°F and while waiting for it to reach the temperature, slice the provolone thinly, you will need to completely cover the chicken slice, I usually use 1.5 slices per chicken breast. When the oven is hot, bake the chicken breast and cook for 15 minutes.
Remove the dish from the oven and carefully flip the chicken breast slices, season with salt
and pepper.
Place abundant cooked ham on each chicken slice,
and the provolone, I use one and a half slices of provolone.
Spoon the cooking juices over the provolone from the pan,
put back in the oven and bake for 5 minutes or until the provolone has melted. Remove the dish from the oven and serve the Chicken breast with cooked ham and provolone hot.
