Preparation
Let’s start preparing the Christmas Tart with Nutella. Prepare the pastry dough; I did it by hand, but you can use a mixer or blender. Pour flour, powdered sugar, vanillin, and a pinch of salt into the bowl and mix the dry ingredients.
Now add the cold butter cut into small pieces, working until you get a sandy texture.
Then add the egg and mix first with a fork
and then with your hands until you get a compact, smooth and shiny dough.
Transfer the pastry dough onto a work surface and work it well, then divide it into two parts.
Roll out the two parts of pastry dough with a rolling pin between two sheets of parchment paper, and then let them rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Take the pastry dough out of the refrigerator, take the one that will be the lid, and use the inverted mold as a measure to cut out a circle.
With the star-shaped cookie cutter, make holes and set aside the stars you get.
Place the other part of the pastry dough on the pan and use a wheel or a knife to cut off the excess dough from the edge.
Pour the Nutella and spread it.
Place the pastry dough disk with the star holes on top of the Nutella, seal well by folding the edges.
Place the pastry dough stars on top where there is room for dough.
Bake the Christmas Tart with Nutella in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 30 minutes. Before removing it from the oven, make sure the pastry is well-cooked, as the time may vary depending on the oven type. Once cooked, take it out and let it cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
and serve it.
How to store the Christmas Tart with Nutella
Store the tart at room temperature for 3/4 days inside a cake tin.
