Cold omelet roll with tuna a delicious main course that you can also enjoy as an appetizer cut into pinwheels. The omelet is even tastier thanks to the zucchini, alternatively, you can make it simple without grated zucchini, or you can add very finely chopped onion. The rolled omelet with tuna is also perfect to bring to work for a lunch break, as it doesn’t need to be reheated and can be enjoyed at room temperature during cooler periods. How to prepare the cold omelet roll with tuna
Let’s start preparing the Cold omelet roll with tuna. First, you need to prepare the zucchini omelet so it has time to cool before filling it. Wash the zucchini, trim it, and grate half with a coarse grater.
Squeeze it to remove the natural water it contains.
Pour the eggs into a bowl, add extra virgin olive oil,
a pinch of salt,
some pepper
and whisk.
Now add the flour
and mix until there are no lumps.
Add the grated and squeezed zucchini,
mix
line a baking pan, mine is square about 8 inches in size, with baking paper. Bake the omelet in a preheated static oven at 355°F for 10 minutes.
The time may vary depending on the type of oven, but before taking it out of the oven, it must be dry. When cooked, take it out of the oven and cover with plastic wrap,
and roll it. This step will ensure that the moisture keeps the roll from breaking; let it cool rolled up.
Meanwhile, slice the mozzarella and let it rest to lose its liquid; slice the tomato as well. When the zucchini omelet roll is cold, take it back, turn it over, unroll it, remove the baking paper, and spread with spreadable cheese,
add the tuna and spread it over the entire omelet,
add tomato slices,
mozzarella,
roll tightly
and wrap tightly like candy, place in the fridge for at least a few hours, it must be cold before serving.
When the Cold omelet roll with tuna is cold, take it out of the refrigerator and cut it into slices.
How to store the cold omelet roll with tuna
Store it in the refrigerator for 1 day
