How to prepare gratinated green beans

  • Let’s start preparing the gratinated green beans. Trim the green beans by removing the ends and wash them well under running water. Then blanch them for a few minutes, place the green beans in a pot with cold water, put them on the stove, and cook for 15 minutes; if using a pressure cooker, set it for 5 minutes from the moment the pot starts whistling.

  • Once the green beans are boiled, drain them and let them cool slightly. Pour the breadcrumbs and grated cheese onto a plate, mix, and add the green beans. Mix well so that the beans are coated with breadcrumbs.

  • Then place the green beans in a baking dish and add the remaining breadcrumbs. Cook in a static oven at 356°F for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through so they brown evenly.

  • Once cooked, take them out of the oven and serve them hot or at room temperature.
