How to prepare Grilled Pineapple
Let’s start preparing the grilled pineapple. Clean the pineapple; I recommend using a sharp knife, I use a ceramic one. First, remove the top with the leaves and then the bottom.
Place the pineapple upright on a cutting board and remove the outer part, keeping it always vertical; this way, you’ll find it easier. Then cut into slices about a quarter inch thick. Remove the harder inner part; I do it with a pastry cutter, and it’s easy and quick; otherwise, remove it with a small knife. Or use the specific tool for cleaning pineapples.
Put the grill on the fire and let it heat up. When it’s very hot, place the pineapple slices and cook them for a few minutes, then flip and continue cooking for a few more minutes.
Continue in this manner until all the pineapple slices are done. Arrange the pineapple slices on the serving plate and sprinkle with sugar, serve warm
