How to Prepare Grilled Squid

  • Let’s start preparing the Grilled Squid. Clean the squid by removing the innards and take out the cartilage found on the squid’s back by simply pulling it out. Use a knife to remove the beak and eyes, wash them under running water, and then let them drain in a colander or pat them dry under running water.

  • Heat a griddle, and when it’s hot, arrange the squid on it, let them cook for a few minutes, then use tongs or a fork to turn them and cook for a few minutes more. Be careful not to leave them too long, as they will dry out and become tough. Cooking time varies depending on the size of the squid.

  • When the grilled squid is cooked, place them on a plate and season with salt, pepper, chopped parsley, and plenty of oil. If you like, you can also add lemon, and serve hot.
