How to make Nutella Dorayaki
Let’s start preparing the Nutella dorayaki. Pour two eggs and the sugar into a bowl and whisk them until light. Add the flour and mix carefully to remove any lumps.
When the mixture is smooth, add the honey and incorporate it carefully. In a glass, mix water with cream of tartar or baking powder, and baking soda, it will start to bubble.
Pour the freshly prepared leavening agent into the batter and mix well until fully incorporated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for half an hour.
After the resting time, take the bowl out of the fridge and heat a non-stick pan on the stove. Once hot, pour a tablespoon of batter into the pan; it will spread by itself to the right size.
When the dorayaki forms little holes, it’s time to flip it, using a spatula. Once flipped, allow it to cook on the other side as well. Continue making dorayaki until you’ve used up all the batter.
Now take one and spread Nutella on it, cover with another disc. Fill all the Nutella dorayaki and enjoy them as you like, either warm or at room temperature.
