  • 3 slices pandoro
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • to taste nougat

How to make Pandoro Baskets with Chocolate and Nougat

  • Let’s start by preparing the pandoro baskets with chocolate and nougat. Finely chop the dark chocolate, pour the heavy cream into a saucepan, heat it and as soon as it starts to boil, turn off the heat and add the chopped chocolate, stir until it melts.

  • Let it cool and then place it in the fridge for 2/3 hours, then whip with electric beaters until you see the cream swell and become lighter.

  • Cut the pandoro into slices about 0.4 inches thick, then roll them with a rolling pin and use a 3.5-inch pastry cutter to make circles.

  • Place them in the muffin pan, bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F for 7 minutes, then remove them and let them cool completely.

  • Break the nougat with a meat tenderizer to get crumbs.

  • Transfer the chocolate cream into a piping bag and fill the baskets, then sprinkle with the nougat, serve them cold.
