How to prepare Pasta with onion
Let’s start preparing Pasta with onion, pour water into a pot, bring it to a boil, add salt, and pour in the pasta. Cook it according to the time indicated on the package, making sure it’s al dente.
Clean the onion and finely chop it with a mandoline and then further chop it with a knife or mezzaluna to make it very fine. Clean and chop the parsley as well.
In a large pan, add the butter cut into pieces and melt it, then add the previously chopped onion and a bit of pasta cooking water. Cook for 10 minutes so the onion becomes very tender and translucent, then adjust with salt.
When the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the pan with the onion, add the chopped parsley, a pinch of pepper, and mix carefully to blend the ingredients well. Serve the Pasta with onion hot with a sprinkle of parsley.
