How to prepare pasta with tuna and onion

  • Let’s start preparing pasta with tuna and onion. Pour some water into a pot, bring it to a boil, add salt, and pour in the pasta. Cook it according to the package instructions until al dente.

  • Clean the onions and slice them finely with a mandolin, chop the parsley, and drain the oil from the tuna.

  • Place the onions in a large skillet with some oil, sauté them well, and then gradually add some pasta cooking water to soften them. It will take about 10 minutes for them to become tender and transparent. Then, season with salt. Next, transfer the onions to a blender and blend until you get a creamy texture.

  • Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the pan. Add the onion cream and the tuna, from which you have removed the oil. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and mix carefully to blend the ingredients well.

  • Serve the pasta with tuna and onion hot or cold in the summer.
