Peppered mussels today I offer you an appetizer that I really like, a simple but very tasty dish that you can serve not only as an appetizer but also as a main course, depending on the menu you have prepared. Mussels in a pan are a very economical dish, as mussels are not very expensive. I recommend serving it with croutons or pieces of toasted bread. I also recommend trying the MUSSEL SOUP WITH TOMATO, a simple but red version. Now let’s see how to make the peppered mussels and if you try it, let me know. Barbara

How to prepare Peppered Mussels
Let’s start preparing the Peppered Mussels. Clean the mussels and discard any broken ones, scrape the shell with a knife to remove anything attached, remove the thread coming out from inside, and rinse them under running water. You can also scrub them with a steel wool pad.
Finely chop the parsley and garlic. Pour 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil into a pan, add the chopped garlic and the mussels, cover with the lid and cook until all the mussels have opened.
Add the chopped parsley and a generous grind of pepper, mix, and serve the Peppered Mussels with croutons or pieces of bread.
