Ingredients to prepare Pizza Cannoli

  • 1 roll pizza dough
  • 7 oz tomato sauce
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste oregano
  • 5 oz mozzarella for pizza

How to prepare Pizza Cannoli

  • Let’s start preparing the Pizza Cannoli by pouring the tomato sauce into a bowl, add a pinch of salt,

  • some extra virgin olive oil

  • and oregano,

  • mix and set aside.

  • Unroll the pizza dough or if you are using homemade pizza dough, roll it out as thinly as possible into a rectangle. Cut the shorter side in half and the longer side into 4 parts, so you have 8 rectangles.

  • Pour the previously seasoned tomato sauce in the center

  • and spread it with the back of a teaspoon,

  • add diced mozzarella

  • and close the cannoli.

  • Place the pizza cannoli on the baking tray and sprinkle with oregano.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 400°F for 20 minutes; the time may vary depending on the oven, so always check the cooking. Once they are cooked, remove them and let them rest for a few minutes, then serve them hot and melty.
