Polenta with meat sauce is a delicious second course to enjoy as soon as it’s ready with the soft and still steaming polenta. The polenta with meat sauce is a dish from the peasant tradition that is very much used here in Veneto, also with white polenta in addition to polenta with sausage sauce or with ribs. Besides beef meat sauce, you can also serve it with HORSE MEAT SAUCE or DUCK SAUCE, or for a vegetarian version with SOY SAUCE. Polenta with sauce is perfect to make if you have some leftover sauce in the fridge and want to use it in a different way than with pasta. How to prepare Polenta with Meat Sauce
Let’s start preparing Polenta with meat sauce. First, prepare the meat sauce or sausage sauce and let it cook well and without haste. As you know, the sauce should cook slowly and for a long time. Of course, you can also use your family recipe to prepare the sauce, the one you usually make.
When there’s about an hour left for the sauce to finish cooking, prepare the polenta. Pour the water into a large pot, set on the stove, and when the water starts to boil, salt it and slowly add the cornmeal, stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Cook for 1 hour.
When the polenta is ready, plate it and pour the sauce in the center. Serve immediately and hot.

To enjoy it best, I recommend consuming it as soon as it’s ready, so you can savor the soft polenta.
