Puff pastry croissants with ground beef are perfect to serve as an appetizer or even as a main course, they are very easy to make and are delicious. The puff pastry croissants with meat are also perfect served at a buffet or to accompany a snack with friends. I used lean beef, as I prefer it for preparations like these because it doesn’t release too much fat during cooking, which could make the puff pastry too moist. Alternatively, you can use chicken or veal. Now let’s see how to make the puff pastry croissants with ground beef and if you try them, let me know. Barbara

How to prepare puff pastry croissants with ground beef
Let’s start preparing the Puff Pastry Croissants with Ground Beef, place the ground beef in a bowl and using a fork, mix it well. Add the egg and beat it with a fork, add the chopped parsley and a pinch of salt.
In a small bowl or plate, mix the triple tomato paste with the extra virgin olive oil until the tomato dissolves, then add it to the ground beef, mixing well with a fork to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Add breadcrumbs as needed to obtain a compact and homogeneous mixture, the amount may vary depending on the type of meat and the moisture of the ingredients.
Unroll the puff pastry on a surface, spread the ground beef all over the puff pastry and press it down with your hands to get a thin, uniform, and well-distributed layer.
Now cut the disc into 8 wedges, first into 4 parts and then each wedge in half. Roll each croissant without tightening it too much.
Preheat the static oven to 356°F and place the puff pastry croissants with meat on the baking sheet, brush the surface of each with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. When the oven is hot, bake them and cook for 30 minutes.
If you see that the Puff Pastry Croissants with Ground Beef are browning too much on the surface, cover them with aluminum foil and continue cooking. Cooking time may vary depending on the type of oven.
When they are ready, take them out of the oven and serve them hot.
How to store
I recommend consuming them on the same day; the next day the puff pastry becomes chewy and not flaky.
