How to prepare Savory Puff Pastry Twists with Speck and Zucchini
Let’s start preparing the Savory Puff Pastry Twists with Speck and Zucchini, grate the zucchini with a coarse grater,
squeeze the grated zucchini to remove the naturally contained water,
as you go sprinkle it into a plate and season with some salt,
some extra virgin oil,
pepper and mix well.
Unroll the puff pastry and keep the shorter side in front of you, spread the spreadable cheese on half of the puff pastry, I used Philadelphia,
add the grated and seasoned zucchini on top of the cheese,
fold the puff pastry over and press to adhere well.
Cover with slices of speck,
cut it in half on the shorter side
and then cut strips on the longer side.
Take each strip and twist it,
as you go, place the twists on the baking tray,
then brush each stick with beaten egg yolk,
bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.
When the Savory Puff Pastry Twists with Speck and Zucchini are ready, take them out of the oven and let them cool before serving.
