Strawberry Liqueur is tasty and very fragrant. I keep it in the refrigerator, but you can also store it in the freezer to enjoy it even colder, and you’ll see that it doesn’t freeze. Strawberry liqueur is an alternative to LIMONCELLO and is easy to prepare. You will only need a glass container with a preferably airtight lid to hold the alcohol and strawberries during the resting period. The homemade strawberry liqueur is certainly better than what you buy in stores, and if you have strawberries from your garden, it will be even more delicious and fragrant. If you want it less strong, you can add 750 ml of water instead of 500 ml. Strawberry liqueur or fragolino is a great gift idea for friends or family. If you’re invited to dinner, instead of bringing the usual bottle of wine, you can bring a bottle of your homemade liqueur. Now let’s see how to make strawberry liqueur, and if you try it, let me know. Barbara

How to prepare Strawberry Liqueur
Let’s start preparing the Strawberry Liqueur, wash the strawberries very well, remove the leaves, and cut the strawberries into small pieces.
Place the strawberries in an airtight glass container and add the alcohol.
Close the jar and let it rest in a cool place away from light for 2 weeks, occasionally shaking the jar to mix the contents.
After 2 weeks, you’re ready to continue preparing the homemade strawberry liqueur. Pour the water into a pot and add the sugar. Place it on the stove and stir occasionally. When the syrup begins to boil, turn off the heat and let it cool completely.
When the syrup is completely cold, take the jar with the alcohol and strawberries and shake it. Open the jar and place a strainer over the pot with the syrup, then pour the alcohol with the strawberries. Discard the strawberries as they will have lost their color and flavor.
Mix the liqueur well and using a funnel and a ladle, pour the liqueur into a bottle or multiple smaller bottles.
Place the bottles with the Strawberry Liqueur in the refrigerator to rest for a few days before consuming. Alternatively, you can store it in the freezer.
How to store Strawberry Liqueur
It can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer for several months.
You can also add mint leaves or vanilla.
