How to Prepare Stuffed and Fried Bread Stars
Let’s start preparing the Stuffed and Fried Bread Stars, place the cooked ham in the blender,
add the ricotta
and blend everything for a few seconds until you get a smooth cream.
Roll out the slices of bread with a rolling pin,
use a cookie cutter to cut out stars, I made 3 stars from each slice of bread.
Place a teaspoon of ricotta and ham cream in the center of the star
close with another star and press well on the edge so that it seals properly.
First, dip the stars in flour,
then in beaten egg
and finally in breadcrumbs.
Pour some oil into a pan and heat, once it’s at the right temperature, fry the stars until golden on both sides,
once golden, remove them and let them drain on absorbent paper.
Serve the Stuffed and Fried Bread Stars hot or at room temperature.
