The HONEY BEER-GLAZED RIBS are an American meat main course, very simple to prepare, yet extremely tender and tasty. Perfect for a meal among indulgent diners, they can also be easily cooked in large quantities, ideal for outdoor parties and convivial moments with friends.
The dish is born from a truly distinctive blend of flavors: the bitterness of the hops pairs perfectly with the rich taste of the meat, while the honey adds a special sweetness that, when caramelized and glazed, makes the dish utterly delicious. Rosemary, juniper berries and pepper complete the dish with their aromas, making it delightful also for the sense of smell. These ribs, with the double cooking method in the recipe, become very soft and so tender they can be eaten even without a knife. In short, a true delicacy.

- 4 juniper berries

Steps
Preparing the HONEY BEER-GLAZED RIBS does not require special skills, only a bit of time.
Put the oil, the butter and a sprig of rosemary in a large pan. When it’s well heated, add the ribs and brown them over high heat on all sides.
When the meat’s pores have closed, lower the heat and add the finely chopped onion, the juniper berries and, after a couple of minutes, the beer.
Season with salt and pepper, cover the pan and simmer gently for about 40 minutes or until the ribs are tender.
Transfer the ribs to a baking dish and brush the surface generously with honey; if you don’t have orange blossom honey you can also use wildflower honey.
Add the remaining beer from the pan and finish cooking in a preheated oven at
356°F for 30 minutes, occasionally basting the surface of the meat with the cooking juices.
When the meat is well caramelized, leave it in the turned-off oven for a few more minutes. Serve the HONEY BEER-GLAZED RIBS accompanied by a fresh salad, roast potatoes or the side dish you prefer.
