Chestnuts in Air Fryer

How delicious are roasted chestnuts? Very much so, but often due to time constraints for cooking them in the traditional oven, in salted pan, or boiled, we are forced to give up this autumnal fruit delicacy. Cooking them in the air fryer is not only a practical and quick way but also a clever one to use the least number of appliances and tools.

Ingredients

  • 21 oz chestnut

Tools

  • Air Fryers

Steps

  • To make chestnuts in the air fryer, first, I washed them thoroughly in cold water to remove any dirt or other impurities because I personally gathered them. If you buy them from the supermarket or greengrocer, you can skip this step.

  • After washing and drying them, cut them on one side to prevent them from swelling and bursting during cooking, which could not only excessively dirty but also harm us. This step should be done regardless of the method used for making roasted chestnuts.

  • Next, I placed them in the air fryer in a single layer without overlapping and cooked them at 392°F for 18 minutes.

  • Finally, after roasting the chestnuts in the air fryer, I wrapped them in a cloth or cotton napkin and let them cool for about ten minutes.

  • Finally, the chestnuts in the air fryer are ready to enjoy while still warm, with or without salt, it’s up to you.
