  • 10.5 oz cookies
  • 3 oz raisins
  • 3.5 tbsp rum
  • 3.5 oz sugar
  • 5.3 oz butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.7 oz powdered sugar

Preparation of Chocolate Salami with Rum and Raisins

  • First, soak the raisins in the rum and melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Remove from heat and let cool.

In a bowl, coarsely crumble the dry cookies. Meanwhile, in another bowl, cream the butter with an electric mixer. Then, add the sugar and continue beating.
Add one egg at a time, still beating with the electric mixer, until a smooth and homogeneous cream is obtained.

Pour the melted chocolate into the cream and gently mix with a spatula. Next, add the crumbled cookies and well-drained raisins.

Place the mixture on a sheet of parchment paper and form a cylinder with the spatula. Roll it in the paper and seal the ends tightly.

Place the chocolate salami on a tray and let it rest in the refrigerator overnight.
After the resting time, remove the parchment paper and sprinkle the chocolate salami with powdered sugar. Serve in thick slices.
