This is one of the most appreciated seafood dishes for its lightness and unmistakable flavor. It is an easy recipe to execute, the secret lies in cooking the octopus, which must be tender and chewy.

Ingredients for Grilled Octopus Tasty Recipe
- 4.4 lbs octopus
- 1 lemon
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- A few leaves lettuce
Preparation of Grilled Octopus Tasty Recipe
Wash the octopus thoroughly under fresh running water and pat dry with kitchen paper, gently.
Then, with a sharp knife, remove the octopus’ eyes and beak. Rinse it again under running water and remove the innards by hand. Clean the octopus well to remove all residues.
Now, cook it in a pot with plenty of boiling salted water for about 15 minutes.
Drain the octopus and let it cool (1); then cut it into rather large pieces and place them in a container (2).
Meanwhile, prepare a marinade with extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Emulsify and pour over the octopus pieces; cover with plastic wrap and let rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Drain the octopus pieces from the marinade and cook them on a hot grill, 5 minutes per side, turning them often (3).
Once cooked, place the grilled octopus on a serving plate garnished with a few lettuce leaves.
Finish the dish with a squeeze of lemon juice and serve.
