The Puff Pastry Flowers with Pistachio Cream are my tribute to International Women’s Day.
A simple yet, at the same time, spectacular and refined dessert. Just like the woman I was inspired by for their creation, Audrey Hepburn, the famous actress, indisputable icon of elegance and sobriety.
With just a few simple ingredients, and in just a few minutes, you can create beautiful puff pastry flowers, to be filled with a delicious pistachio cream and white chocolate (you can substitute it with dark or milk chocolate, as you prefer).
Follow the step-by-step illustrated recipe, and celebrate March 8th with this delicate and delicious dessert.
I also recommend these other delightful desserts, dedicated to International Women’s Day (and not only).

Ingredients for Puff Pastry Flowers with Pistachio Cream
- 1 roll puff pastry
- 6.35 oz pistachio cream
- 1.59 oz white chocolate
- 9 teaspoons colored sprinkles
Preparation of Puff Pastry Flowers with Pistachio Cream
Take the puff pastry roll out of the fridge at least 5 minutes before preparation.
Divide the pastry into nine squares. On each, make two small cuts on each side, one inch from the edge, leaving the center whole.
Place a teaspoon of pistachio cream in the center of each square and then a small piece of white chocolate.
Now, fold the four outer corners of the square towards the center, pressing lightly.
Bake the pastries in a preheated oven at 392°F for 15 minutes, until they are well browned.
After the baking time, take the puff pastry flowers out of the oven and let them cool on a rack. Then, finish by placing a bit of pistachio cream in the center and a teaspoon of yellow sprinkles.
To make the flowers more realistic, use a toothpick to fringe the pistachio cream where it is visible.
