Ingredients for Puff Pastry Treats with Chocolate

  • 1 roll puff pastry
  • 5.3 oz milk chocolate
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Tools to Prepare Puff Pastry Treats with Chocolate

  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Wooden Stick
  • 1 Brush
  • 1 Baking Tray
  • 1 Sieve

Preparation of Puff Pastry Treats with Chocolate

  • Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and let it cool slightly.

  • Roll out the puff pastry and spread the chocolate with a spatula. Leave the edges free (about 0.8 inches).

    Then, roll the pastry and cut it into triangles using a knife. You should get 7 – 8 pieces.

  • Use a wooden stick to make a crease in the center of each puff pastry treat.

  • Place the puff pastry treats with chocolate on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

    Brush the tops of the treats with the egg yolk and sprinkle with brown sugar.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 20 minutes.

    After the baking time, remove from oven and let the puff pastry treats cool on a wire rack.

  • Finish by dusting with powdered sugar.

  • You can enrich the puff pastry treats with chocolate by adding chopped hazelnuts.
