I couldn’t resist preparing cinnamon rolls during this period, delicious rolls filled with plenty of cinnamon cream. The recipe I propose here is the quick version made with a roll of ready-made cinnamon roll dough. I know that these ready-made doughs are now available even in Italy. So if you want to enjoy these treats without too much hassle, follow the recipe below.

  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Cost: Very Cheap
  • Rest time: 20 Minutes
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 12
  • Cooking methods: Electric Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Autumn, Winter, Thanksgiving

Ingredients

  • 1 roll of cinnamon roll dough
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons warm water

Steps

  • The recipe for these cinnamon rolls is really easy: roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread butter over the surface of the rectangle. Now mix the brown sugar with cinnamon and distribute it evenly over the entire surface of the dough, setting aside about 2 tablespoons. Then roll the rectangle lengthwise. Use kitchen twine to cut 12 rolls.

  • Spread a sheet of parchment paper in a baking pan about 12 x 16 inches. Pour the sugar and cinnamon mix onto the parchment paper evenly and place the rolls next to each other in the pan. Let them rise for about 30 minutes and finally bake them in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 20 minutes.

  • When the cinnamon rolls are baked, prepare a glaze by pouring the powdered sugar into a bowl, add 1-2 tablespoons of hot water and mix quickly. Then distribute the glaze over the cinnamon rolls and let it set. At this point, your cinnamon rolls are ready to be enjoyed. Bon appétit.

The filling of the cinnamon rolls can be enriched with pumpkin puree or chocolate.
