Granola and Chocolate Bars

Do you know when you feel like having something yummy at 9 PM and you have nothing at home? Well, it happens to me often, but luckily I always have dark chocolate to make desserts. That’s exactly how the granola and chocolate bars were born, one winter evening with the cold, wanting to prepare something delicious yet simple and with few ingredients. A very quick recipe and the result is extraordinary. If you love crunchy sweets these bars are for you. But let’s see together how to prepare them in the following recipe.

  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Very cheap
  • Rest time: 30 Minutes
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Portions: 8
  • Cooking methods: Bain-marie
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 18 oz dark chocolate
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar-free granola
  • 1/4 cup honey

Steps

Start preparing your granola bars by lining a rectangular pan of about 8×12 inches with cling film.

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie, add the honey, and stir.

Now add the granola and mix well so that the chocolate incorporates everything well.

  • Then pour into the pan and level it well to obtain the same thickness and place in the fridge for at least an hour.

  • After this time, place the content on a cutting board and cut 8 bars of the same size and enjoy.

Saby suggests…

To serve your granola bars, I suggest cutting strips of parchment paper and wrapping them around the bars, securing them with tape or string.
