Simple Cauliflower Gratin

I admit that I do not like cauliflower at all. I really like vegetables, especially boiled with a drizzle of oil and lemon, but not cauliflower unless it is seasoned in a tasty and flavorful way like this simple cauliflower gratin. This simple and very quick recipe will make you change your mind about the taste of cauliflower and will surely convince you to prepare it more often. The interesting thing is that you do not even have to blanch the cauliflower before baking it because it is placed raw. But let’s see together how to prepare this simple cauliflower gratin in the following recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 oz grated Parmesan cheese (or flavorful cheese of your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon parsley (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • to taste sweet paprika
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil

Steps

Start preparing your simple cauliflower gratin by washing the cauliflower and drying it well, then slice it into pieces about 1/2 inch thick.

At this point, place the slices on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.

Now mix breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, and minced parsley in a bowl.

At this point, brush all the cauliflower slices with extra virgin olive oil and cover with the breading.

Finally, sprinkle with more pepper and the remaining Parmesan cheese.

  • Now bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes.

    Then set the oven to 390°F grill function and leave for another 10 minutes to gratinate for a crispy crust.
