Puff Pastry Brooms with Nutella 🧹 The perfect treat for Epiphany!
Epiphany is one of those magical mornings, especially when there is a child in the house who wakes up with the excitement of the Befana.
These puff pastry brooms with Nutella were created to make waking up even more special: few ingredients, zero stress and a result that instantly celebrates the holiday.
They are prepared in just a few minutes, always loved by children, and perfect as a snack or last-minute treat.
With one puff pastry sheet, you get about 14–15, ideal to share… or to finish in no time.
The ideal is a rectangular puff pastry sheet, but I can only find a gluten-free round one, it’s not a problem with a bit of cutting and pasting, you can use it all the same 😉
- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very cheap
- Preparation time: 5 Minutes
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular if possible)
- 2 tablespoons Nutella®
- as needed milk (for brushing)
Steps
First, unroll the puff pastry.
Cut it into three strips and spread a thin layer of Nutella.
Fold the pastry and press lightly on the side where the fold is.
With a knife, cut the end into several small strips to create the “broom” effect, leaving the top part intact (where you folded the pastry).
Divide the strip into 4/5 pieces, insert a toothpick into each one as the handle, and roll.
Place the brooms on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with milk, and bake at 356°F in a fan mode for about 15 minutes.
When they are nicely golden, take them out and let them cool.
👉 If you are using gluten-free puff pastry, you know that it often releases oil during baking, so when you take them out, immediately transfer them to a clean sheet of parchment paper so they don’t absorb it back.
