SOFT CHOCOLATE DANUBIO
Today I am offering you a really delicious recipe. After making the SAVORY DANUBIO I couldn’t resist the temptation to create the SOFT CHOCOLATE DANUBIO.
My dear kitchen friends, you can’t understand the goodness of this dessert. A cloud that melts in your mouth filled with chocolate cream.
Ideal for breakfast, a snack, or a treat after dinner 🙂
I preferred to make it without butter, I can assure you that the dough is really soft and healthier 🙂

SOFT CHOCOLATE DANUBIO

Ingredients to make 10-12 balls

  • 3 1/3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 3 1/2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 oz Fresh yeast (0.14 oz of dry yeast)
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Lemon
  • 7 oz Hazelnut spread
  • 1 Egg
  • As needed Powdered sugar

Preparation of the dough


For those using dry yeast, subtract 3 1/2 tbsp of water from the TOTAL described and then follow the instructions on the package.

  • In a stand mixer, place the flour, egg, and start mixing, then add milk, yeast, sugar, and finally add the grated zest of one lemon.

    Lastly, pour in the butter that has been softened at room temperature.

  • Work the dough that has formed on a work surface, adding a little flour until it becomes nice and smooth. Score the dough with a cross and let it rise for about 4 hours.

  • Once risen, deflate and pour the dough onto a work surface, divide it into many balls (about 10-12).

    Stretch each ball well with your hands and add a nice full teaspoon of hazelnut spread 🙂

    Close the base well and place in an already lined or greased baking pan.

    Add all the balls and let it rise for another couple of hours.

  • Once risen, brush the surface with a well-beaten egg, and bake at 356°F for about 30 minutes. Of course, it always depends on your oven, so check the cooking.

    Once cooked, let it cool well and dust with powdered sugar.
