Ingredients for apple jam without preservatives:

  • 4.4 lbs apples
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 cups sugar
  • cinnamon stick
  • fresh ginger
  • 1 glass water

Steps

  • First, we need to clean, wash, peel, and cut the apples. We put them in a large pot, then add some grated ginger to taste and the sugar.

  • We squeeze the lemons and add the obtained juice. We add the cinnamon, water, mix, then cook for about an hour.

  • We stir occasionally during cooking. Once the desired thickness is reached, we remove the cinnamon stick and immediately put it into sterilized jars.

  • We close them tightly and turn them upside down to create the vacuum effect. This way, the jam will preserve for about a year. If you want to keep it longer, boil the jars for about 20 minutes.
