Baked Paccheri Cake with Meat Sauce
A scenic first course made in a springform pan. I arranged the pre-cooked paccheri in a row, then put sauce, cream, mozzarella, and parmesan on top, then baked for about 30 min. A very simple recipe to prepare and excellent to serve on any occasion.

Ingredients for the Baked Paccheri Cake with Meat Sauce:
(7-inch pan)
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic
- 1 celery
- extra virgin olive oil
- 1 carrot
- 7.1 oz mixed ground meat
- salt
- 1 can canned cherry tomatoes
- 1 mozzarella
- 1 1/4 cups tomato puree
- 3 1/2 tbsp white wine
- 8.8 oz paccheri
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
Steps
The preparation of the baked paccheri cake with meat sauce is very simple and quick, watch the video HERE.
In a pan, add some oil, the onion, garlic, and celery, cleaned, washed, and chopped, and sauté. Add the ground meat and brown it.
Add the wine and let it evaporate. Add the tomato puree and a bit of water. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook for about 30 min.
Add salt and spices to taste and stir occasionally. In the meantime, pre-cook the pasta (5 min), then drain it and rinse under cold water.
Arrange the paccheri in the pan (7 inches) upright without packing them too closely together. Add the prepared sauce on top, pushing the sauce inside with a fork to fill the paccheri.
Add cream and mozzarella pieces on top. Finally, sprinkle with some grated parmesan and bake at 356°F for about 30 min.
Enjoy your meal!
