Carrot and Apple Squares

Ingredients for Carrot and Apple Squares:
- 3 cups apples
- 4 tbsps sugar
- ground cinnamon
- 3 carrots
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- lemon zest

Preparation of apples:
First, we need to wash, clean, and grate the apples. Put them in a saucepan and add sugar and a bit of cinnamon. Cook for about 15 minutes.
Stir occasionally. Let all the released liquid evaporate, then let it cool down.
Dough preparation:
In a bowl, put the grated carrots and cooled apples,
Add a bit of lemon zest, oil, orange juice (preferably freshly squeezed), water, and mix. Add some cinnamon,
Add the sugar, flour, baking powder, and mix well. Put the obtained mixture in a mold lined with baking paper. Spread and level it well then
bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes.
