chestnuts in the air fryer
I know, you’ll tell me that chestnuts should be cooked over the fire, but what about those who can’t? Do they not eat them? Well, I have a solution 😉 the fryer! I have to say I tried it and they turned out great, and they are ready in a few minutes. Last year, without using the fryer, I made them in foil and in the microwave and we liked them. In winter, after a barbecue with friends, it’s common to cook some chestnuts and enjoy them with a glass of red wine, ideally new wine! Personally, I really like chestnuts, whether eaten like this or in various sweet or savory recipes such as Chestnut soup with mushrooms and speck, Chestnut fritters, Vegan pie with chestnut flour, or Chocolate cake with chestnut flour and pears.

Steps
The preparation of chestnuts in the air fryer is very simple and quick, using only two ingredients: chestnuts and salt, watch the video HERE.
First, we need to take each chestnut one by one and make a small incision with a knife (be careful not to hurt yourself). We wash the chestnuts in warm water, then drain them and place them in the basket of the fryer. Be careful not to leave any chestnuts uncut, or they will explode during cooking (I say this because it happened to me and I was scared 😲). Sprinkle a bit of salt over the chestnuts.
Cook at 390°F for about 15 minutes. If you want, you can turn them halfway through cooking!
Enjoy your meal!
