Chocolate Crepe Cake

A delicious cake, very easy to prepare and excellent to serve on any occasion! I made the crepe base without eggs and then filled them with a chocolate cream also made without eggs. If you want to prepare a different cake from the usual ones and surprise your loved ones, try this recipe!

Ingredients for the Chocolate Crepe Cake:

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsps vegetable oil
  • salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 oz butter
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 5 oz mascarpone
  • rum flavoring

  • Crepe Preparation:

    Mix the eggs, oil, milk, and a pinch of salt. Add the flour and blend to prevent lumps.

  • Create the crepes by pouring a little mixture at a time into the pan.

    Cream Preparation:

    Add sugar, cornstarch,

  • Add cocoa and blend. Gradually add the milk mixing to prevent lumps. Bring to heat to thicken, stirring to prevent sticking.

  • Once thickened, turn off the heat and add butter and rum flavoring.

  • Mix. Cover with plastic wrap and let cool.

    Combine mascarpone, cream, and whip.

  • Add the cold cream and blend.

    Assembly:

    Spread some cream over the crepes, fold them in three, then add more cream on top and roll up.

  • Place in the center of the plate. Fill the others and arrange them around (see video). Finally, apply a cake ring and tighten a bit.

  • Refrigerate until the next day. The next day, remove the ring and decorate as desired.

  • Enjoy your meal!
