Small meatballs made without eggs with a sweet and sour sauce made with oranges and lemons, a true delight! So if you want to impress at the table, try this very scenic and delicious recipe! Ingredients for citrus meatballs:

  • 1.1 lbs mixed ground meat
  • 3 tbsps white wine
  • 7 oz potatoes, peeled, cooked, boiled
  • garlic
  • 0.7 oz Parmesan
  • salt
  • 1 tsp breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
  • 2.5 tbsps lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 0.5 cup water
  • salt
  • Half onion

Steps

  • Citrus meatballs without eggs
  • First, boil the potatoes, then drain and mash them. Add the ground meat, breadcrumbs, wine, a little salt, Parmesan, a pinch of garlic powder

  • mix well. Take a bit of the mixture in your hands and shape into small meatballs. Once ready, fry them with a little oil.

  • Once ready, remove and set aside.

    Sauce preparation:

    In the pan where we fried the meatballs, add chopped onion and sauté. Meanwhile, in a bowl, add the cornstarch,

  • Add the orange juice and lemon and mix. Pour it over the onion and mix, it will thicken immediately.

  • Add salt and put the meatballs back in. Cook for about 2 minutes to mix everything together.
