Steps
For the preparation of the eggless black forest cake watch the video HERE.
Base Preparation:
In a bowl, place the flour, cocoa, sugar, and baking powder, and mix.
Add the yogurt, milk, oil, and combine.
Place the mixture in a floured mold. Level it. Bake at 356°F for about 40 minutes.
Cherry Preparation:
In a saucepan, place the pitted cherries and sugar and cook for a few minutes (just enough time to release the syrup)
then turn off the heat and let cool. Strain the obtained syrup. Cut the cooked and cooled base into three equal disks.
Cream Preparation:
Place the sugar and cream together and whip.
Assembly:
Combine the liquor with the syrup and mix. Place the first base disk and soak it. Add about half of the cherries on top, then cover with a layer of cream (1/3).
Place the second disk, soak it, and add the remaining cherries
and another layer of cream (1/3). Finally, place the third disk, soak it, and cover the entire cake with cream, including the sides.
Use a vegetable peeler to make chocolate curls and cover the cake’s edge. Remove any excess. Place the remaining chocolate in the center.
Make whipped cream tufts on the edge and decorate with cherries. Refrigerate for a few hours.
Enjoy!
