Fig Skillet Cake

A very simple cake to make, cooked in a skillet with seasonal fruit! If it’s too hot and you don’t want to turn on the oven but still crave something sweet, try this recipe. If you want, instead of figs, you can put other fruits of your choice!

Ingredients for the Fig Skillet Cake:

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • Half packet baking powder
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • salt
  • 3 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 1 lb figs
  • vanilla

  • In a bowl, place the eggs, sugar, and whisk. Add a pinch of salt, the yogurt,

  • Add the melted butter and mix. Add the sifted flour, the sifted baking powder,

  • Add a bit of vanilla and mix. In a skillet, put a little butter and let it melt. Add the cleaned and chopped figs.

  • Add the prepared mixture, spread and level it. Cover and cook over low heat for about 15 min.

  • Flip the cake with the help of the lid, adjust it, cover, and cook for another 15 min.
