Halved Tomatoes

A delicious recipe to enjoy as an appetizer/aperitif on bruschetta or as a tasty side dish to accompany any kind of dish. I must say that among all the tomato recipes, this one is undoubtedly my favorite, I’ll just tell you that as soon as they were made, they were gone!

Ingredients for Halved Tomatoes:

  • tomatoes
  • basil
  • parsley
  • oregano
  • garlic
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • chili pepper (Optional)

Steps

Preparing the halved tomatoes is very simple and quick, watch the video HERE.

  • First, we thoroughly wash the tomatoes and cut them in half. Squeeze each piece to release the juice and seeds. As you go, arrange the empty halves in a baking dish close together.

  • Place basil, parsley, garlic, oregano, salt on top.

  • Add plenty of extra virgin olive oil and chili pepper (optional). Cook at 430°F for about 40 min (cooking time may vary depending on the size of your tomatoes).

  • Enjoy your meal!
