Hazelnut and Cream Brick Cake

Another category of desserts I prefer for the summer are these “brick” cakes! Simple and quick to prepare and great to serve on any occasion: as a dessert after a meal, as a snack, or whenever we crave something sweet. For today’s brick, I chose the combination of cream and hazelnut, and I must say it was very appreciated!!!

Ingredients for the Hazelnut and Cream Brick Cake:

  • 1 cup cups hazelnut beverage
  • 1/4 cup cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup cups cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cups hazelnut paste
  • 3/4 cup cups hazelnut beverage
  • cookies (Type oro Saiwa)
  • 3/4 cup cups whipped cream
  • hazelnut crumbs

Steps

The preparation of the hazelnut and cream brick cake is very simple and quick, watch the video HERE.

  • Cream preparation:

    In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, sugar, and hazelnut beverage. Add the hazelnut paste and cook to thicken for a few minutes. You can use the stove or the microwave, taking the cream out every minute to stir.

  • Once thickened, cover it with cling film and let it cool.

    Assembly:

    Place a layer of cookies soaked in the hazelnut beverage and line them up. Add a layer of cream,

  • Spread it. Add another layer of soaked cookies and continue alternating the layers. In the middle, add a layer of cream, then continue with the other layers of cream.

  • Cover the edge with a bit of cream. Clean the edge of the plate if necessary and put hazelnut crumbs on top of the cream. Decorate as desired with cream, hazelnut cream, and crumbs. Refrigerate for a few hours.
